Welcome to the 1SG Leonard A. Funk Chapter - 1SG Leonard A. Funk (MOH) Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association
Our Chapter welcomes all paratroopers and glider men (as well as their significant others) at our meetings. Past affiliation with the 82nd Airborne Division is not a requirement, only airborne or glider qualification. Annual membership is $20.00 which includes subscription to the Association's quarterly magazine, Paraglide. There is also a provision for Paid for Life (All American) Membership.
The members of the 1SG Leonard A. Funk Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Association are proud to belong to a chapter named in his honor. Many of us were honored and privileged to have known him, and many who served with him still maintain their membership in our chapter, even though they do not live in close proximity.

1SG Leonard A Funk Chapter Lands 2012 Convention!
The 1SG Leonard A. Funk Chapter was awarded the 2012, 82nd Airborne Division Association National Convention at the 2010 National Convention in Charleston, WV. Vince Kimberland gave a Power Point presentation to the National Directors on Friday morning explaining the two cities and what each has to offer. Following the presentation, the Directors voted unanimously to hold the 2012 event in Monroeville/Pittsburgh. We have never hosted the Convention before so all our Chapter members are excited and look forward to August 2012.
We are gearing up to make this a special Convention. We have already done a lot of planning and continue to work tirelessly to host a very memorable event. We look forward to going to Reno in 2011 where we know a good time will be had by all. We also want to thank our southern Brothers in Charleston for rolling out the welcome mat for all of us. They did a great job and we thank them for that!
